The foundations were laid in January of 2008

Virtually all the masonry construction was done by local Kwong masons. 

Sand came from the riverbed 3 miles from Chageen. Gravel came from 50 miles away. 

The building is constructed of steel reinforced masonry. The bricks are all fabricated and fired locally.

Diane's parents, Don and Pat Stocksdale, came out immediately following the team from sycamore to do a multitude of tasks. Here, they are preparing ceiling material. 

The building was finished in May 2009

The finished building is very attractive and functional.
