Home Our
Life in Chad
Recent Pictures from Mark and Diane's life in Chad
Every
morning from February on the sun rises with a fury in Chad, pushing temperatures
well over 100 degrees by mid morning, and making the best ventilated home (like
ours) a furnace at night. Bereft of the luxury of air conditioning, we, like
most missionaries, slept outside from February through April.
As
we write now in June, all that is changing as the rainy season approaches and
heavy storms roll in from the northeast.
This past year our harvest in Chageen was good, though in some
other parts of Chad it was flooded out. In April, we were called upon to
purchase food to help some of these unfortunate folks. Mark spend a fair bit of
time arranging for this, stocking the grain in our granary, and then shipping it
to the stricken areas when the time came.
